Why do I Blog?

FTSF is here. Join in the fun. Today's sentence is:

I blog because I find it therapeutic.

It is like standing in front of the mirror and talking to thy self. The only difference here is that many folks get to read what I talk/think.

I could relate it to as my diary, which a girl tends to write about and expresses her feelings in it.

This talk is not only encouraging for me but also helps uplift my spirits. It is healing me in many ways, and I hope I can touch many lives, as well.

I had started blogging years ago but stopped since did not have enough inspiration.

Thanks to Bloppy Bloggers group, where I got an audience and then started my out pour of emotions and although I only have 36 followers, my daily write up has inspired me in many ways especially on days when the grey clouds cover my mind, and refuse to budge.

Inspiration can be drawn from various channels, and I thank many of my blogger friends whose work has been equally inspiring, and I am what I am today thanks to many learning tools introduced by many.
Thankyou!!

Mantra for today: Adapt a hobby that heals your inner self.

Aww, Ruchira. I am so happy you started to blog and that I have gotten to know and consider you a friend, too. I, too, find blogging therapeutic and really just a great way to release what you are feeling. Thanks as always for linking up with us and voted for you, too!!

First of all, blogging can be very therapeutic, but secondly, you mention only having 36 followers. That's not true! You have 36 followers through GFC, but that was discontinued last year, so new people couldn't join that way even if they wanted to. You also have 121 followers on G+, but even that may not be the whole picture. I follow a whole bunch of blogs through Google Reader because it's convenient (not for long - that's getting shut down too). Those bloggers don't necessarily realize I'm following that way, so you could have MANY more than you realize. :)

It is theraputic. Great to get those thoughts out in words, to untangle them as they're written and committed to...screen(?). The icing on the cake is when people feel a connection, understand what you're going through and can empathise or get a bit of a boost from what you've written. Great FTSF response - it's so true.

Ruchira, you are so right that blogging is therapeutic. I've become so much stronger since I started blogging and spent time examining my believes. Thanks for reminding me.

Ruchira,
Great great answer to FTSF. I love that your blog is therapeutic for you - mine is for me as well. And regarding the followers, you have to remember that people come read your writing and don't always "sign up" but that doesn't mean they don't love your blog. I love it!

I blog because I am a writer, and because I think there are important issues that need to be addressed. With each blog I raise awareness and hopefully help others.

Have a great weekend my friend.

I agree with all of the above! It is good to read your Post (and your blog)... there really is something special about this virtual place, I look forward to the ripples that come (large or small) everytime I hit 'publish'
