Festival time!

As we enter the month of September, we not only usher the Fall season, but also the many festivals that line up making me very excited at the thought of mingling, dressing, eating, laughing, and anything and everything that is fun.

What I love about Fall is the welcoming of Diwali, Halloween, Thanksgiving that brings along a lot of anticipation, excitement, glee, and joy for the upcoming months until Santa brings in gifts!

Festivals also make me ponder over the many quotes:

Don't just Celebrate Festivals, Celebrate Life!

Festivals are a way to bring you closer to your family!

The greatness of a culture can be found in its' festivals

Celebrating festivals has its' own advantages:

* It helps us keep connected to our roots, culture, our origin and as we celebrate it, we help preserve it.
*It helps people to come together and forget their chaos of life while hoping for a good year.
*It also marks the significant events important to the human race.
*It tells you about mythologies and elevates your faith, giving you lessons from inside those mythologies. You celebrate the good will and teachings you get from them.

Ever noticed that when it's time for the arrival of a festival, the whole aura changes, the whole community gets directed towards a faith, a surrounding full of real hopes, happiness, joy, celebrations is created. It naturally uplifts your bad mood and fills you with positive energy. It gives you an opportunity to forget all the not so good events of past and initiate fresh & new beginnings. You can also utilize this opportunity in all other positive aspects you can think of because your faith is high.

A human is a member of a mysterious species, we don't know about our origin, but with a little faith, we have the power to change the tides and modify this world and create something exceptional.

On a minus note

However, Families mingle, but with caution since; they dread that things could get ugly and egos could clash, which could put a strain on their relationship.

It is said that families have thicker blood to sustain any brunt thus, making their relationship compelling as compared to the friends.

My concern

If families are made of thick blood, then why do we use caution when meeting up with them?

*Maybe this thick blood has high expectations from individuals within the family?
*Maybe that thick blood refrains us to argue and confront each other.

I wish family members ought to be flexible with each other and not let ego's come in their way when there is an argument.

I also think peace is directly related to the celebration of festivals. If we have the tolerance for each other, chances are we will appreciate their presence while accepting their flaws. Thus allowing us to bring in adaptability and buoyancy in our relationships. This will help bring in peace within and beyond.

Mantra for today: Peace is the side product of tolerance and fortitude.

The Smell of Peace

Zeenat woke up to loud screams, sirens, and gunshots. She was quick to peep out the window; after smelling fear, and anger she collected her essential resources and ducked in her basement.

Stuffed her ears with cotton and started chanting. Hours ticked to days and soon to a week.  Finally, everything was quiet.

She came out with her face covered cause of clouds of soot. The residue had turned everything brown and burnt sienna. However, she lifted that cloth and inhaled deeply cause the smell of peace is far more wholesome and harmless than any destruction caused by mankind.

Wordless Wednesday #53

Celebrated my friend's birthday in a restaurant where the host was quick to assemble something sweet along with a lit candle, thus making it a memorable moment while making the person whose birthday was celebrated, fold her hands in gratitude.

Aha! the effect of a candle!

It can tag any event to a celebration or signify peace.

Mantra for today: A candle not only eliminates darkness, but also is a sign of hope for a bright year ahead!

No Good Habit

I admit...I have no good habits.

Infact, all habits are bad and are nosed upon by many individuals.

Seriously!

What kind of human are you?

Well, the habit that I think is good could be considered bad in your eyes. So, even though I walk with confidence along the path of life, I am constantly judged by my "bad" habits.

Man lives in a society who is always judging. And since we are social animals, we like to go with the belief of what "others" ought to say. But, we need to be able to distinguish between our false self and true self. Gotta feel secure, accepted to our true self and get rid of our false self, which at times comes when we are overwhelmed with stress, doubts or insecurity.

Finding that peace within us helps us relax and bring our true self without the worry of what others ought to say about our habits.

Thus, today as I write this blog with someone commenting on my habits...I embrace with what I am and accept my true self with confidence and maturity.

Mantra for today: Being peace within you, can help eliminate all those X-factors that surround your life with negativity.

AK47 turns into Art

Guns, Violence, Bloodshed, Cries, Shouting and Uproar is becoming common.
Man has forgotten what peace is.

Guns are found everywhere. Sometimes to protect oneself from fanatic beings, who use these weapons as a toy. Gun has become another disease created by man and fortunately we have a solution to it.

Ban the Guns!
Let there be ceasefire amongst all countries that are fighting against each other. This will bring the usage of guns to a standstill.

Recently, artists decorated AK47's to highlight the ceasefire campaign and to promote peace.

Ever wonder what the world will be like, if no guns existed!
Sure, man will let out his anger by shouting, but that is it. We will not hear the loud gunshots, the terrified beings lurking in fear.

Ponder over the feeling of NO GUNS surrounding you and feel the liberation of fear and agony.

My Mantra for today: Peace
