I knew it was my last day there
---------
The
sitting on lap and doing the nose-to-nose rub, as the chuckles would fill up
the living room. The perching on the tractor and touring the farm while
chewing the sugarcane and waving to the farmers who were working on producing herbage
on mother earth makes me inhale deep and relax those tensed muscles as I wipe
my tears as he lay there breathing his precious few gasps.
Seeing my
Nanaji in that state, I knew it was my last day there.
Mantra of
the Day: Being in the moment can help us bring closure to the memories we
created.
