The Black Stallion

When I was young, I had a black stallion.

He was gifted to me by my dad, who wanted me to be in safe and good hands when I start college.

I still can't forget the evening, when he surprised me with this black stallion. I was called outside, and there I saw him standing all shiny and sparkly as if talking to me. I was amazed by his looks and sharp features. His sleek body made me want to ride upon him instantly, but since it was dark, I was not permitted to do so.

I parked him safely in my shed and called it a night. Although, my night was restless; since I was itching to go for a drive, but waited till sun rise and off I went. Since this black stallion had speed, I was advised to wear a helmet.

Wearing a helmet, I pushed the ignition button and off I went....zo0o0om!

Psst...what did you think? Me riding on an actual horse to college!

My two wheeler was black in color and had a shiny armor, thus was named a Stallion!

He was my pride and armor, and I used to clean him every morning before hopping onto him, and I could feel that he loved it. His two tires were always checked for air pressure since the roads that I drove on were bumpy.

That was my first automated carrier, thus was extremely proud of it and took ownership responsibly.

Mantra for today: Responsibility comes with ownership.

Oh awesome story and still remember being gifted my first car by my grandparents and will never forget the excitement to drive it for the first time (it wasn't much, but it was mine). Still remember like it was yesterday!! Great story and thanks for linking up. Have voted again as always for you!!

Cool story! At first I thought you really did get a horse! But yes, there's nothing like the excitement of your first pair of "wheels"!

Ahh, that was cute! I was totally expecting a horse story. I would love to have one of those Stallions. Except I'd have no place to put my kids. Maybe when they're in college. :-) Wait, maybe after college b/c I won't be able to afford it when they're in college.

Yeah, you had me going too! I also remember getting my first car, my grandma's Oldsmobile after she passed away. It was a *terrible* means of transportation, but I felt so proud!

Yes, I did for a second there think you actually got a horse. I loved horses as a kid and wanted one really bad, so at some point, my Dad decided it would be a good idea to move us to a farm so he could get me one ... that cured me!! I tried to convince him that he could still get me a horse and stable it without us having to live on a farm, but he wouldn't hear of it. And no, knowing my Dad, he was NOT using reverse psychology on me LOL.

I really enjoyed this story. As a kid, my dad used to sell scooters so I totally love them. They're even better than horses, because you can take them most places and you don't need to clean up after them.

Ruchira - Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, you had me wondering what in the world was going on! lol You know creative writers are more likely to fall for that than others, so at least I'm honest. :) Really a fun story!

A very imaginative story...but one thing that stuck with me...you kept calling HER a stallion. But a stallion is an 'uncut' boy horse. :) A mare is a girl horse. Sorry.

Love your take on this theme! :)

Thanks Terrye for pointing out such a crucial mistake...I do realize that mare is a she horse and I meant a He. Will correct it right now :)) Hugs for correcting me!

Thanks Rich. I am glad I could entertain a pro writer like you :)

Thanks Cyndi.

Thanks Audrey.

Thanks Georgie. Yes, the first pair of wheels is your first love :)

Thanks Maggie & Considerer, Christy.

Thanks Katherine, Stephanie, Cris for your feedback :) Appreciate it.
