Bollywood Movie Review---Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani (YJHD)

Indiblogeshwaris is looking for reviews of Bollywood movies.

Recently I watched, Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani and was left confused since there were too many distractions in the movie and although the director was trying to convey a message that today's generation is ambitious, adventurous and do not want to commit.

Story revolves around two characters, Bunny and Naina. The three and half hour seemed long for me since the movie was a drag; was all about when they meet, then part ways, and then meet again after their goals have been fulfilled. Amidst all the pomp and glory, the director lost focus of the goal of the movie and that seemed to be a big disappointment.

Younger generation is a synonym of celebrations, senseless laughter, money and liquor flowing. The director could portray that well. The story line lacked a bit of depth, and he could have done a better job looking at his history with movies.

However, a movie which, has a display of glamor, celebrations, joy, happiness is appealing to all especially when you are dealing with the younger generation, gotta keep that money and liquor and adventure keep flowing but then this director made a superb debutant, while conveying a strong message via Wake up Sid.
 What happened now?

The character of Bunny is played by Ranbir Kapoor who has once again proved that he knows to act. Naina played by Deepika Padukone could have done a better job in some scenes.

Song, "Batamazish Dil" got my attention. It is energetic that it makes you stand on your toes.

If you wanna feast your eyes on inveiglement, this is the movie for you. For a mature audience, no hassles if you skip it.

Mantra for today (Thomas Edison):  Maturity is often more absurd than youth and very frequently is most unjust to youth.
