Is there a Formula for Happiness?

Happiness is bliss if it is without any reason, but man usually wants a reason to be happy or else he will be frustrated over tiny things around him. Basic things such as cleanliness or normal chores will irritate him.

Adults evolve a definition of happiness in their homes as a result, kids too start looking for a reason.

Thanksgiving coming...Yeah!
Christmas coming...Yeah!

Homework to be done...Nay!
Raining hard and have to be indoors...Nay!

Happiness should be without any attachment. Do not associate a special day or a thing to be happy. Try to see happiness even when hardship has struck upon you. Find your blessings within it. De-code that hardship and you will be surprised.

So, is there a formula for happiness?

Yes, there is.

Detach from sorrow and you will find happiness everywhere.

Since we live in a materialistic world, it is not easy to detach from sorrow.

Man spends his life experiencing happiness and sorrow. Usually happiness is a no-brainier period, but is the sorrow where man gets dejected and needs to be pulled out.

Man is an intelligent soul and we do not give up easily (especially when we are having an argument with friends/family) Then use that same logic of not giving up and try to investigate your sorrow, analyze it and you will find happiness even in that situation.

A classic example that recently occurred: My friend seemed to have lost her dog and she was going all over the town looking for him, that was the period when she could have got dejected over losing that precious pet, but she and her husband kept on rowing their boat of life while hunting for their special friend and companion. However, the conclusion was in their favor but they did not turn their desperation period into a big sorrow!

You could read more about it at Pictimilitude.

Mantra for today: Analyze your sorrow, Do Not Give in to it.

Happiness is, and always will be, an inside job! It is up to me to be happy; no one else can do that for me. And today I am happy that it is your birthday! Happy Birthday Ruchira!
