Home Alone

Ann bids her family a fond goodbye while wishing them to have a pleasant and safe trip back home.

She shut the door behind her and faced an empty house.

As she was picking up the mess after them, she could hear the echoes of her kid.

That made her quickly turn around to see nobody!
She shut her eyes, drew in a deep breath and smiled.

Turned on some soft music, and continued to clean while humming along. Her body and mind were running parallel to each other but were still in synch with regards to her sanity.

Change in Perspective

Year 1986

When I submitted my application for the school president; my classmates started buzzing around me with requests and appeals while I made a note of them. I clearly remember writing sentences such as, "Long recesses and access to the playground."
"Canteen should be open for a long time and should sell good (aka junk) food"
"Picnics should be organized at least three times in an academic year."
Etc...Etc

I was elated by the requests, and when I went on the podium to give  my election speech,
"You should vote for me for President because, etc. etc."
I could hear a thunder in the audience along with loud cheers!  And I knew that my school mates wanted the same thing, and voila! That was an easy win since I captured the hearts of many.

However, what happened when I took the title is another story since the principal did not come close to agreeing to any of my terms. Within months, my friends became my foes as they had helped me campaign for these elections while I promised them the stars.

Year 2011

I met up with my school friends, and we recollected the election time. All of them laughed hysterically and unanimously said, "Blah! We were such idiots to make those demands."

My 2 cents
Age and time bring in a certain outlook towards life, and that leads to awareness thus bringing in certain demands. We were at that stage when we needed those things such as long play time, more junk food, more fun. Thus, when an opportunity came knocking, we grabbed it and asked for it.

Today if a presidential candidate would approach me, I would want a better health plan, a secure job, and yada yada.

Mantra for today: Priorities change with age, which is termed as maturity by mankind.

Do you prefer to be Alone or Lonely?

Lonely

Alone

Lately, I came across these two words and have read the interpretation of many for the above.

There are times when a person is surrounded by people, yet he feels lonely and there have been moments when an individual is alone and yet enjoying life to the fullest!

Both these adjectives have a deeper meaning on their respective platform resulting in a fulfilling motive that have aspired many to venture out and discover their path of comfort.

Although, I have come across people who say that their minds are beautifully programmed, and they can press the mute button and be actually alone and lonely at the same time.
I admire such people!

Practically speaking an individual can never be lonely.

He can be alone, but never be lonely!
Cause if he is lonely, it could be termed as a disease called depression. That's when the mind stops talking to the body, and that would not be good!

A man's mind is such an active machine that keeps churning ideas, thoughts, feelings of some sorts, theories, and viewpoints that he does not really need company if he allows his mind to keep churning.

In both the above adjectives, the mind plays an important role. We just ought to be on the look out and communicate with our consciousness to make a wise decision.

With the current times, man longs to be alone more so to cleanse himself from all sorts of energies that he tends to hook upon. Unfortunately, the negative energy leeches upon and eventually sucks the blood out of if we don't attempt to ponder over a path of just us, being ALONE aka cleansing!

Researchers are finding good results in individuals who yearn to be alone and how it affects their overall health.

Thus, next time when you are alone, do something, and you will be surprised by the amount of memories you will make for yourself even if you have no other body to share the moment with.

Mantra for today: Communication between the mind and body is important to enjoy being alone, yet not lonely.

Wordless Wednesday #66

An aerial view of the city, but speaks volumes in many dimensions with respect to man and his inventions.

Wanted to start a New Year with Glitter and Hope.

Hope for mankind to be conscious of his thoughts and Faith that his actions will be in accord to the welfare of his brethren.

Mantra for today: Man is smart to have a dream, an ambition can turn into reality if faith exists.

Life, a Staircase

Tina stumbled over a step, but she was quick to put her palms on the ground thus avoiding to fall flat.

"Darn it!" she mumbled while cursing her legs that could descent with ease but when it came to ascending, they would take one step at a time.

She grabbed the pole gingerly and pulled up her torso while her legs hauled her to a standing position.

"I wish you would not follow the pattern of life, by making your ascent out of hard work and descent out of laziness or voluntary action," she talked to her hind legs.

A Letter to Santa....

Dear Santa,
You must give me something special this year because I have been very good all year. This I say because…

Life around me is in turmoil, and eventually I too will get wrapped up with this anxiety. I will forget which journey to unfold in my life as I would be walking back n forth upon the paths that have already been tread upon. Thus, leaving me sad and  with no hope!
You do realize Santa that ambition is essential for mankind  cause that allows them to look forward to something. This excitement can flutter their heart, stretch out those muscles over their forehead and around the lips, which is deciphered as a smile.
The above acts can not only help the civilization to be pleased for the days ahead, but also allow a man to dream, have faith and to long for something that is rightfully theirs. Alas! It has been snatched away due to some irrational thinkers who, unfortunately, are also from our same clan, but their brains are fogged.
Thus, Santa this Christmas I want a Truce
This toxic free product will help to clean the grime and dirt around the perimeter of my home. However, it will sterile my neighborhood by uncluttering their respective mess and helping them stay focussed on their goal of life.
The reviews of this all-purpose cleaner are mind-blowing. They say that once the product is in your hand, daisies will be dancing together with mankind.
Oh! Santa please deliver this product to me on Christmas Eve. I want magic to happen around me and on this planet.
Thanking you,
Ruchira
